Nowadays we have many files and data saved in our phones. Some of them contain private photos, videos, notes and sound files. With best crypto from Smartphoneware it is possible to protect all these sensitive files with passwords so that only you have access to your private files. To secure your data this app uses the RC6 and the MD5 encryption algorithm.
The graphical interface is simple and user friendly. You have two ways to manage your files. If you have files that you encrypt and decrypt very often you should put it in the “Safe List”. The “Safe list” detects the selected file state automatically and allows you to perform the needed action with just one click. The other option is the normal File browser. It allows you to select multiple files and use the preferred command of encryption or decryption. Each file can be encrypted with a different password but it is better to use only one since if you forget the password there is no possibility to decrypt the data. Besides that one password makes it easier to encrypt or decrypt multiple files. During encryption you have to type in the password twice (second time for confirmation).
The app shows you also the detailed progress of the encryption or decryption. It takes about one second to encrypt a 5MP picture. Encrypting bigger files takes a little bit more time as expected e.g. 25MB AVI file- 25 seconds. The exact time will of course vary from phone to phone.

There are few applications out there which let you encrypt your files so easily as Best Crypto. Even though it is not perfect it does its job pretty well and is really useful in some cases. I can recommend it to everyone who has some private files which he/she doesn’t want others to see.
