Metal Gear Solid is one of the most popular stealth game series to date. Up until now most of the games were released on gaming consoles. But since 2008 there are some mobile releases of this series such as the Metal Gear Solid Mobile game for N-Gage. Being an owner of all three Playstations aside from the PSP I am very familiar with the major Metal Gear Solid games. The N-Gage release of Metal Gear Solid is not as great as the Playstation releases but in my opinion it is a satisfying game and worth playing. Metal Gear Solid Mobile relies heavily on stealth game play so if you want a game where you have to shoot everything that is on the screen then this game is nothing for you.
The game has two viewing modes. The first being a top down view and the second one being a first person view. In the first person view you can’t move around but only look around you by moving your cell phone or use the cursor keys. The controls are fairly easy. Most of the time you hide behind boxes and take out guards without making some noise (just things that you would expect from a stealth game). You are also able to jump.
Like all of the Metal Gear Solid games this one also has a pretty interesting plot. The story takes place between MGS and MGS2 and is based around Snake.
The game isn’t too hard and if you are a fan of the MGS series you should at least try out the demo.
